The Pic St Loup appellation is one of terroir of Coteaux du Languedoc AOC. The vineyard is very fragmented in small plots in the garrigue. it covers about 1 200 hectares throughout thirteen villages.
The denomination Pic St Loup is product in France, in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, more precisely in the northeast of the department of Herault, on the
limit with the region of Gard, 20 kilometers north of the city of Montpellier.
For the red wines, the main grapes varieties are Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, and secondarily by the Carignan and Cinsault.
The production of Pic St Loup is about 25 000 hectoliters per year, about 85% red wines and 15% rosé.
Currently we have 59 wine growers on this appellation.
The maximum yield authorized is 45 HL / ha.
